Ingredients
- 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- ½ cup pizza sauce
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup pepperoni slices (or any toppings of choice)
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)
- 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2: Roll Out the Dough
On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a 10×12-inch rectangle.
Step 3: Add Fillings
Spread pizza sauce over one half of the dough, leaving a ½-inch border. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese and add pepperoni slices (or your preferred toppings).
Step 4: Fold & Seal
Fold the dough over the toppings to form a half-moon shape. Press the edges with a fork to seal.
Step 5: Brush & Season
Brush the top with olive oil, then sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and parmesan cheese.
Step 6: Bake
Transfer to the baking sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
Step 7: Cool & Serve
Let cool for 5 minutes, then garnish with fresh basil or parsley. Slice and serve with extra pizza sauce for dipping!
Notes
- Use whole wheat dough for a healthier version.
- Add veggies like mushrooms, onions, or bell peppers for extra flavor.
- Swap mozzarella for dairy-free cheese for a vegan option.
